At thirteen years old, she knew that country music was in her future. As soon as she was on stage, Angie Broberg realized that singing and performing was her passion. Now living in Nashville, Angie is continuing to pursue her career as a country music artist.
Upon entering her freshman year of high school in Tilden, Nebraska, Angie began looking for venues to perform outside of church and school where she often sang. She broadened her horizons with performances at local fairs, festivals and benefits throughout the Midwest headlining shows as well as opening for acts such as Mark Wills and Sara Evans.
Angie’s debut album, “Something Else”, which is made up of ten songs written by many of today’s top country songwriters, was released on April 20th, 2002. For this album, Angie chose songs that she believes hold important messages. “Butterfly Box”, for example, is about following your dreams, which is something Angie feels strongly about. Another song that holds an important message is “In the Eyes of Children”, which reminds us of the examples that we set for children.
In balancing school at Belmont University’s Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business with her career, Angie considers her second album to be her greatest accomplishment to date. She feels that with this album titled, “Unchanged”, she is taking the next step in developing her career. Angie is excited about this album, as she believes that it goes beyond her first, reflecting new and different music. With influences both inside and outside of country, including acoustic rock and R & B, Angie describes her sophomore album as “a true picture of my style.”
Angie has been described by various people in the music industry as a professional who has an excellent mix of talent and charm. She has a refreshing burst of energy that allows her to interact well with her audiences.
Currently, Angie is continuing her radio and concert tour to promote her second album.
