Raised in Western Kentucky, Candy Coburn learned to belt it out at a young age. Her grandmother's vinyl collection of old gospel greats and country legends influenced what many are saying is a sound that is "unique and distinctly fresh to modern country."Candy Coburn has become the Indie female presence country music has been waiting for. Candy's passionate, high-energy, country rockin' new cd, “REV IT UP” has the music industry and fans alike watching this true rising star! The word of her amazing concerts and original sound spreads from state-to-state and station-to-station. In the midst of all the "Candy-buzz", she is just kicking off her brand new tour, covering the Midwest, Texas and Ohio and rolling out a rockin' female show like no other act in country rock music. She is truly REV'n IT UP!! Whether fans are drumming their fingers to high energy songs on the radio, a CD, or out on the dance floor moving their hips to her stellar live shows, the country music scene is hearing the growing roar of GIMME SOME CANDY!!!
Candy will certainly leave her mark on 2007 and make many new fans along the way. She has been invited to be a featured act for a special television show called, “Live at the Gilloz Theater” with special guest and friend, George McCorkle(original Marshall Tucker Band) sitting in with her to be aired June 2007. She has a long list of numerous prestigious musical events, from the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville to major spots at state fairs and festivals and everywhere in between. Not only has Candy opened for BIG names such as Pat Green, Kevin Fowler, BIG and RICH, Keith Anderson, Blake Shelton, Tracy Lawrence, Josh Turner, Hot Apple Pie, Little Big Town, Rodney Crowell, and Cowboy Crush, to name a few, she has done so while in the same breath headlining her own headlining tour as well.
When she's not touring the country doing that, she's performing shows for many charities in her region, doing radio interviews or making television appearances. She can also be seen on a nationally syndicated show on your PBS affiliate as an up and comer, and she will be a in a great new documentary at the several film festivals this year which also includes legends like, Rodney Crowell, Emmy Lou Harris, Leroy Parnell, and many others.
