Bio:
Jessica started writing songs as soon as she learned to talk. Singing was second-nature to Jessica, whose mother's family was traditionally musically gifted. Her father will tell you how she would sing along with Heart's "Dreamboat Annie" album on her little orange and black Fisher-Price microphone, belting out every word, at barely more than five years old, every time their was an audience of at least one to listen. Jessica learned to play the piano and guitar in order to accompany herself and chart her compositions. Her first charted composition was written at the tender age of eight and placed in a state-wide contest. Jessica started professional voice training at the age of thirteen, the youngest student her instructor had ever accepted as vocally mature enough to handle training. She was accepted into a collegiate level vocal training course at age fifteen, and received the highest marks at state competitions throughout her education. She credits her father for an introduction to and an appreciation of several varying musical genres. Her training enabled her to perform this variety of genres with the strength and presence of a classical performer.

Jessica moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado at seventeen and started her first original band with a conglomeration of local artists having backgrounds in varying genres (country, rock, blues and folk), creating a unique sound that didn’t quite fit into any current genre. She was ahead of her time.
Jessica started a family and moved back to Kansas City at age nineteen. She took a job as lead vocalist for a sixties cover band that played at fairs and country clubs. She enjoyed the classic rock and the soul, imitating the likes of Aretha Franklin with a surprising power at such a young age.

There were several bands and styles to follow, including the Mystery Machine aka Disco Lemonade, Soulmatic, RetroActive, and more. Jessica has graced the stages of all of the Midwest's hot spots through the years. She performed the National Anthem for the 2006 Busch Series Race at the Kansas Speedway. She was a Kansas City finalist in the 2006 Colgate Country Showdown, and in the televised Harrah's Lucky Break. The band was named 2006 Country Band of the year by Bands Across Kansas City.

Jessica's latest songs are a catchy and relatable mixture of country, folk and southern rock. Her first solo demo, released 2006, is receiving excellent reviews and airplay overseas, and she is currently working on a full length album to be released in 2008. The band is one of the most popular regional country acts in the Midwest, and they're now headed South. If there is a message in Jessica’s songs and shows, it is that life is what you make it, so keep it simple, and have a good time…
