Bio:  LUCIE DIAMOND blasted onto the international country music scene at the start of 2005, with her headline-grabbing debut single, “That’s What I Like About You”, featuring Grammy-winning guitar legend Albert Lee.

The track - a sparkling re-working of a cut on Trisha Yearwood’s debut 1991 album - was a huge hit on radio worldwide, spending a record 10 consecutive weeks at # 1 in the British country chart and reaching # 5 in the prestigious European CMA chart.

The follow-up single, released Easter 2005: “Kilimanjaro (that’s what you do for me)” spent several weeks at # 2 in the ECMA chart and was # 1 in several countries.

Lucie’s third single, released to radio in September 2005, was a duet with Norway’s Arly Karlsen - of the classic “Always On My Mind.” This record spent 3 weeks at # 1 in the European CMA chart, knocking Faith Hill off the top spot to claim the coveted Christmas # 1.

It was also # 1 in 9 countries worldwide and played in approx 60 countries, on mainstream and country radio. The first ever duet treatment of the song.

“Did He Mention My Name" - Lucie's 4th single was a brand new song written for her by two top Atlanta-based writers: Vocal coach Jan Smith (clients include Usher and Rob Thomas) and Eric Johnson. Given a country-meets-rockabilly treatment, when rock and roll stars The Jets joined her for the track.

Released to radio in January 2006, it fast became a hit with 5 weeks at # 1 in the British country chart.

It reached # 1 in the European CMA chart, preventing American Idol Carrie Underwood reaching the top spot and giving Lucie her second consecutive number one in the ECMA chart. She also had an unprecedented # 1 & # 2 in the chart with 2 singles at the same time.

Lucie Diamond - described by the UK's 8m readers a day tabloid newspaper The Sun, as "a cross between Joss Stone and LeAnn Rimes" - is the ONLY British country artist to have 2 consecutive number ones in the main European country chart - plus a # 5 & # 2 - and all this in little over a year!

She was signed by Carlsbro to be their first female endorsee. The respected UK-based manufacturer of electronic equipment for live performance since 1959, recognised Lucie’s star quality, huge potential and “brilliant achievements.” They gave her a full PA system and new CMR40 radio microphone system.

Lucie is a pro member of NSAI (Nashville Song Writers Association International.) A Sterling member of the CMA. She is a "celebrity supporter" of the national British charity BLISS, dedicated to highlight work connected to premature babies, after she herself was born very premature and weighed less than 3lbs, give a 50-50 chance of survival.
