As fiery as her Auburn hair Melissa has a set of chops that will rock your socks off. We are all anxiously awaiting the release of her debut album from Platinum Plus Universal, Nashville. In early 2005 she flew to Nashville for the first time to meet with Legends Hall of Fame Producer Robert Metzgar. Throughout that year Melissa recorded four original songs that would now become a part of her debut album. “Working with someone as brilliant as him (Mr. Metzgar) was amazing. I learned so much and was introduced to some of the best musicians in the business.” Melissa recalls. “I am so excited about the release of my first song entitled ‘San Antonio.’ Melissa is no stranger to music. She got her start like a lot of country singers do in church. She studied music all through elementary school, high school and college. Melissa has toured Israel, Jordan, Japan, France, Spain, Germany and Switzerland to name a few.
Her genres of music range from Classical, Pop, Southern Rock to Country. “I love all types of music, but I have to admit that my heart really does belong to singing Country,” She adds. When asked, Melissa told about the many theatrical productions she has done. Playing the lead in Evita several times, Brigadoon, 42nd Street and Shenandoah. She has toured with a jazz band as well as Top 40 Band. She was also was able to perform with the local bands when she lived in Theodosia MO. Singing is what she loves to do and watching her perform gives you the impression that the stage is really her second home. Melissa sings with great feeling and has the ability to pull you in to the song when you listen to her. She truly enjoys what she does. We wish her all the luck and success!
