Bio:
Heather Shelley is a native of Scott City, Kansas.  She has performed at festivals, clubs and numerous events from Kansas City to Elkhart, Kansas for the past several years. Heather has shared the stage with Big & Rich, SheDaisy, Dierks Bentley, Restless Heart, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Sawyer Brown, Trick Pony, and many more national touring artists.

In 2005, Heather released a collectors edition CD produced by famed record producer Garth Fundis at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville. Garth produced Trisha Yearwood's latest album as well as the latest album by Buddy Jewel and the debut album by Sugarland.

Heather truly began pursuing her dream of moving to Nashville and becoming an entertainer at age 14. One of the first songs she ever attempted to sing was “Unchained Melody”. If her mother told her a particular song was too hard for her to sing; within a week Heather would have the song mastered. Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, Christina Aguilera, and Whitney Houston have provided some of the major influences on her vocal style. From the beautiful vocal range required in “Unchained Melody” to the raw dynamic power in Journey’s “Separate Ways”, Heather knows few vocal limits.

On July 23rd, 2004 Heather won the Waters True Value Colgate Country Showdown in Dodge City, Kansas. On September 19th, 2004 she won the Colgate Country Showdown state title at the Kansas State Fair. On October 23rd, 2004 she won the Midwest Regional Colgate Country Showdown at the Royal River Casino in Flandreau, South Dakota. Heather went on to represent Waters True Value and KKJQ radio (Dodge City, KS) in the Colgate Country Showdown National Final at EpcotCenter in Orlando, Florida on January 29th, 2005. At 8:51 p.m. Eastern Time, she became the NATIONAL CHAMPION. She received the title of “BEST NEW ACT IN COUNTRY MUSIC”.

Since emerging from 50,000 other contestants to become the Colgate Country Showdown National Champion, Heather has received numerous offers to perform with her band (NITEHAWK). She has also been busy modeling and doing TV and radio commercials.

Heather plans to continue performing throughout the region. Don't miss your next opportunity to see Heather Shelley and NITEHAWK in action!
